"Nice faucet, fairly easy to install" 2009-05-07
By HappyCat
I bought this faucet to replace an off-brand model installed by the previous homeowner. When it comes to plumbing, my goal is simple. I want to mess with it more than absolutely necessary and I don't want any catastrophic leaks down the road because of incorrect installation or cheap parts.

The technology behind faucet installation has improved in the last 10-20 years and this faucet had surprisingly few parts. I used a small crescent wrench to connect to the water supply and a phillips screwdriver to tighten the faucet base to the sink. No other tools.

The faucet base has the water lines already attached to it. No real assembly of the base, just slide it through the sink holes. A hose needs to be threaded through the faucet base and attached to the wand, a connection that is tightened by hand. This hose slides onto a water line connected to the base. No tools needed for that.

The water lines have the fittings already attached to connect to your water supply; you simply tighten the nuts by hand, tighten one turn with a small crescent wrench.

The only problem that I had was that the "flexible" water lines aren't flexible like a water hose. They are stiff plastic. I don't know, maybe having the flexibility of uncooked spaghetti. These lines are a fixed length and the Delta manual says the installer is responsible for a leak-free joint if you cut the lines to resize them. (Gasp!) In addition, the manual says you should not bend the line tighter than 8" in diameter. So... I finally looped the lines, dodging the garbage disposer, drain lines, supply lines, etc., so that they look like metropolitan-area freeway interchanges. But they are attached.

Overall, I am thrilled with the look, and the water pressure is better than it was with the old faucet. I'd buy this faucet again, but I think there is room for improvement with water line flexibility. It was truly the only part of the installation that couldn't be done by "anyone in the house".

"New so not quite sure yet" 2009-02-24
By C. Rounds
It seems to be fine but where the top of the faucet meets the bottom, water collects there in the joint. If you jiggle it back and forth you can see it. I have a well and have seen calcuim build up in another faucet so we'll see how this one goes as its still new.

"GREAT TOY OVERPRICED ON AMAZON!!!" 2009-08-14
By Jawan K. Lunsford
This is an amazingly fun toy. My best friend has one and my son loves it. The only problem is this toy goes for[...] on the Step2 website. Why is it [...]? That's ridiculous. Buyers beware this price is a rippoff!!! Great product, obscenely high price!

 "Expensive but worth it!!!" 2009-04-26
By J. Hamilton (Oregon)
We bought this kitchen directly from Step 2 because at the time they were selling it for much less than the vendor on Amazon and they offered free shipping. It was easy to put together; about an hour with two people. There are some flaws as others have talked about such as the microwave door being a little askew and ours also had a problem with the noise making cook top not fitting very well. Also there are some hooks that hold metal utensils that aren't well designed. BUT despite those few flaws that my daughter will probably never notice anyway, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kitchen. Our daughter is 18mo and while she doesn't really know how to use it quite yet, she LOVES pushing the buttons on the microwave, the phone and the stovetop. She loves putting things in the cabinets and draws, etc. We decided not to give her all the food items (and there are LOTS included which is GREAT) just because we didn't want her chewing on them. I think this will provide YEARS of fun play. Once put together in person it does seem smaller than the picture, but still oh so worth it!! Highly recommend! Can't say enough about how cute this is. I would have given almost anything to have this kitchen when I was little!!

"This item MAKES the playroom!!" 2009-02-26
By B. Bishop (Mountain City, TN)
Any child that comes to the house wants to play in the 'kitchen'.

The grandkids love to 'cook' for us, and want to copy what they see us doing.

It's large enough that two can play in it at the same time and there are enough pots & pans, utensils and food to share!! We've had this for quite some time now and they are not bored with it yet! Great investment.

 "Great, although....." 2009-01-12
By C. Lopez (Disappointed, NH)
This thing is awesome! One thing that bothered me though, was that the microwave door was crooked and doesn't lay flush. Not a functional problem but esthetically, not a great thing. I figure, for being brand new and so pricey, everything should be perfect. Also, pic in ad looks alot larger than it really is. Fits a 2 year old perfectly, a little small for my 4 year old but he can play with it- just a little small. Overall, a wonderful toy!

 "Great kitchen" 2009-01-07
By J. M. Hastings (Frisco, TX)
my daughter loves this "walk-in" kitchen, bigger than most but lots of realistic features. She even decorated it with some of her own touches! seems durable so far. Lots of cupboard space to store small items. super cute!

 "Product Itself Is Garbage" 2009-07-14
By Beatrice (New York)
The ring came off the bottom of the can after 2 days because I had to use so much force getting the bag out. The can is very narrow, so a full bag gets stuck as you try to pull it out. The sensor stopped working after 3 months. They won't give me a refund, of course and the process of sending it in for repair is a nightmare. You pay shipping to mail it to the repair center. You must also include a check for $9.95 to cover return shipping once it's repaired, so it costs about $20 in shipping just to get it repaired and you only have 14 days to get it to them once you get the repair e-mail. That e-mail has a repair form attachment you must send in. You also have to send a copy of your original invoice. I'm sending it back for repair, but meanwhile, I bought a terrific Home Logic 13 gallon can with a touch top spring opening at Target. It's nice and wide, works great and cost only $20.

 "Piece of Garbage" 2009-05-26
By W. So (NJ, USA)
This truly is a piece of garbage. I've owned the original, rectangular iTouchless 13-gallon trash can and I can echo the other owners's experience that the lid is flimsy, mine broke after a year. This 2nd generation NX trash can is even less durable, even after having learned how to take precautions from damaging the lid (never touch it while it's operating), the mechanism still broke on its own after 3 months. Design-wise, it's a step in the wrong direction. The circular shape means that trash bags fit terribly, and the circular bag holder keeps is unable to hold the plastic and falls into the can. The lid itself is narrower than the original, its motor is louder and the infrared sensor is just as prone the original to activate inadvertently. How can this model be considered an improvement is beyond anyone's guess.

 "touchless trashcan a pleasure" 2009-04-30
By Landreth H. Fehlberg (Montana, USA)
my husband ordered this product because our newly adopted dog kept getting in the garbage. i love my new trash can. besides being animal-proof, it's very attractive and easy to clean. it's tall and hard, and the "touchless fly" opens whenever i wave my hand over it, making me feel very powerful. a button on the back holds it open when i need to scoop potato peels out of the sink. after about a month it's still working perfectly.

 "Not Worth The Money" 2009-03-09
By BJ (Port Orchard)
I bought this product in September 2008, by December the lid motor went out, so they sent me a new one. Now it is March and the new lid motor is going out. They offered me a new lid at 10% off, I said no thanks, I'm getting one with a step on lid, my foot still works.

 "Absolutely superb product" 2009-03-04
By Alex Vox (Winnetka, IL)
I own this one for about 4 months and it is convenient top grade, easy to maintain and use product. It is beautiful and stylish too! It doesn't leak, opens readily, works as intended!
